Updated: Apr 27, 2020

Stuck at home? With kids or all by yourself??? I feel you. Keeping focused on your goals can be tough in isolation and I am here to help! Here are some awesome websites that can help you work on your English from the comfort (or captivity) of your own home.

General English learning: These online sites teach you English for free.

2.  With children?

3. By yourself and want to talk to someone?

  • Here is one of MANY free conversation exchange communities.  Sign up and find someone to talk to!  https://www.conversationexchange.com

  • italki isn’t just a great place to find an online language teacher.  They also let you connect with other people learning your language to talk to for free. https://www.italki.com/partners

  • With Blabu you can talk to a native English speaker for $3.95 for 15 minutes.  No schedule, anytime. https://www.blabu.com

4.  Do your favorite things in English.

  • Love to read?  Find your favorite book translated into English. I read all the Harry Potters in German and now I’m on to my favorite author, Robin McKinley.

  • Watch your favorite shows in English.  If you’ve already watched them in your native language, it’ll be easier to follow.

  • Listen to podcasts in English.  For people learning English: https://www.fluentu.com/blog/english/esl-english-podcasts/

  • Listen to music in English.  Even better, download the lyrics and read them, too: https://www.lyrics.com

What I offer:

  • Conversation Group.

  • Online English Lessons.

  • Pronunciation Workshops.
