Richard, Rudolf, and Robert had been best friends since they first glimpsed each other, three new students at Herbert Middle School in Chandler, New Hampshire. They were friends all through school and when they graduated, they went into business together, opening Champ's Sporting Goods that sold all kinds of sports equipment such as balls, bats, baseball gloves, clothes, cleats, boots, and other products. Their clients included athletes and sports teams from all over the city and suburbs. Their shop was profitable and the three friends thrived.
